The local chapter of the Public Relations Society of America presented Zintel PR with a Silver Excalibur Award for its news release and accompanying efforts for a local non-profit that raises donations for military families struggling with the effects of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.
The non-profit Stand at Attention event was held last September at Houston’s Memorial City Mall and featured veterans from the U.S. Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marines and Navy who stood in solidarity to help fellow soldiers and accept charitable donations. Houston is one of the first cities to help expand the Stand at Attention event nationally. The event was started four years ago by Active Heroes, a 501c3 organization that has helped more than 1,800 military families who have struggled with PTSD.
Zintel PR is honored to have played a small role in helping promote such important events within the Houston community. The award was presented during the 30th Annual Excalibur Awards Gala that took place on Thursday, June 18 at the Junior League of Houston. It served as a milestone event that marked three decades of excellence in public relations campaigns and tactics.
Featuring Courtney Perna of KHOU 11 “Great Day Houston” as Mistress of Ceremonies, the Excalibur Award Gala honored practitioners who pioneered the public relations industry, the professionals who have guided the local chapter, and emphasized the empowerment of future PR professions.
